This commission advises on parks and recreation needs of County residents and assists the Parks and Recreation Department in planning facilities and operational activities.
The 11-member commission includes a representative from each of the seven planning areas (Concord, Eastern, Kannapolis, Central, Midland, Northwest Cabarrus and Harrisburg), 2 at-large representatives, one representative from the Cabarrus School Board and one representative from the Kannapolis School Board.
Appointments are for three year terms.
