This board examines the local criminal justice system and identifies areas that could be improved through local community-based programs.
Members include the following: County Commissioner; County Manager; Superior Court Judge, District Court Judge; District Attorney; Criminal Defense Attorney; County Sheriff; City Police Chief; Probation Officer; Community Service Coordinator; one member from the service areas of Mental Health, Public Health, Substance Abuse, Employment and Training, Community Based Corrections Program and Victim Services Program; Member of the Business Community, Victim of Crime and other At Large Members.
Appointments are for terms of three years.
