Active Living and Parks Commission

The Active Living and Parks Commission is an eleven member advisory body for the Active Living and Parks Department and the County. The Commission advises and recommends policies to the Board of Commissioners, Management and the Department related to matters affecting park and senior centers policies, grants, programs, staffing, budget, land acquisition, and pertinent items related to the operation, goals, mission, and future direction of the Active Living and Parks Department. Representation is based on the planning districts of the County and both school boards along with a Board of Commissioner liaison.

"To Enrich the Quality of Life by Providing High Quality Recreation and Education Opportunities in Harmony with Natural Resource Preservation."

The Active Living and Parks Commission meets the 3rd Thursday of each month in the library of the Concord Senior Center at 6pm. Periodically meetings are at park locations and advertised on the website. Terms are three years in length and each member can be re-appointed one time.
