The Cabarrus County Veterans Services office expects more veterans coming in the doors as The United States Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) opens healthcare eligibility to veterans in higher income brackets. Beginning June 15, new regulations take effect that will allow veterans whose incomes previously exceed income thresholds – Priority Group 8 veterans – to enroll in the VA’s healthcare system.
The Cabarrus County Veterans Services office can assist local veterans in determining their eligibility under this new regulation. “We are pleased to be able to help our service men and women navigate the VA system and to help them receive the care they deserve,” said Sharon Eury, Veterans Services Director.
