Juvenile Crime Prevention Council Accepting Applications for Funds

March 18, 2010 – The Cabarrus County Juvenile Crime Prevention Council (JCPC) anticipates the availability of $326,959 dollars in intervention and prevention funds for services to youth who are adjudicated delinquent or undisciplined or who are at most risk of court involvement. JCPC funds require a local cash or in–kind match of 30%.
Based on the JCPC planning process conducted to date, the continuum of program services and structures needed in the County has been indentified to be the following:
- Psychological Evaluations Services
- Sex Offenders Services
- Teen Court
- Restitution/Community Services
- Home Base Services/Parenting Skills
- Mentor
- Structured Day Treatment
- Emergency Shelter Care
- Substance Abuse Treatment
Local public agencies, 501 (c) (3) non–profit corporations and local housing authorities are invited to submit applications (Programs Agreements) to provide any of the intervention services listed above.
