Some Child Support Payment Debit Cards to Expire Soon
March 12, 2010 – Some debit cards issued to child support clients will expire soon. Clients who signed up to receive child support payments through the NCKidscard debit card in 2007 will begin receiving new cards. The NCKidscard is a VISA branded debit card valid for three years from the issue date. That means the cards issued to child support clients will begin to expire in April this year according to when the cards were issued in 2007.
A new card will be mailed to these child support clients. In order to avoid disruptions with child support payments, clients should activate the new card as soon as it arrives. If the client’s mailing address has changed since receiving the initial NCKidscard, they should contact the Customer Service Center at 1-800-992-9457 to update their information.
The NCKidscard has been widely accepted by child support clients and has proven to be an effective way to quickly, easily and safely deliver support payments. Almost half of child support clients choose to receive payments via this debit card.
