Funding Available for Organizations Offering Youth Transition Services
June 23, 2010 – The Juvenile Crime Prevention Council for Cabarrus County announces the availability of up to $149,231 in Federal American Recovery Reinvestment Act funding. The Pilot Program will provide individual youth-based transition/re-entry services to youth who are residents of Cabarrus County and are exiting the Cabarrus Center Youth Development Center (YDC). These time-limited funds covering Fiscal Year 2010-2011 is intended as “seed funding” to develop a pilot model for further dissemination and expansion in other YDCs and communities in the state.
Applicants must complete the “Gang Prevention & Intervention Pilot Program Agreement” and submit five signed copies (by program manager only) to be considered for funding. Program Agreements must be mailed or hand delivered to Dianne Pennell, 30 Corban Ave. SE Concord, NC 28025, (Sheriff’s Department Records/Civil) by August 10, 2010 at 1 pm.
