Non-Profit Agencies Invited to Office Supply Giveaway Event

June 22, 2010 – Non-profit agencies who are in need of additional equipment and supplies are invited to participate in the Cabarrus County surplus giveaway event for non-profits Tuesday, June 29 from 10 am until noon at the county warehouse which is located at 103 Commercial Park Drive, off of Highway 29 and just north of Tractor Supply Company.

Cabarrus County has surplus office furniture, equipment, and supplies available to give away to area non-profit organizations free of charge. Surplus items include folders, desk sets, typewriters, binders, printer cartridges, chairs, desks, workstations, partitions, and much more. Any 501 c (3) charitable non-profit agency serving Cabarrus County citizens is invited to participate in the surplus giveaway.

Agencies are encouraged to register in advance by sending a copy of the agency’s IRS Determination Letter by email attachment to papasterz@cabarruscounty.us or by faxing it to 704-920-3277. Non-profit representatives also can simply bring a copy of the letter to the event. To be eligible to participate, representatives must be affiliated with of a bona fide 501 c (3) agency and agree that all items received for the agency will not be sold.
