Portion of Highway 601 in Cabarrus County Restricted due to House Fire

January 6, 2010 – Highway 601 has been restricted to one lane between Flowes Store Road and Cold Springs Road in Cabarrus County due to a house fire at 5195 Highway 601. The home is vacant and no injuries were reported.

Fire department crews are currently on the scene. The Cabarrus County Fire Marshal’s office is investigating the cause of the fire.

Responding agencies are: Allen Volunteer Fire Department, Concord Fire Department, Flowes Store Volunteer Fire Department, Georgeville Volunteer Fire Department, Cabarrus Rescue Squad, Cabarrus Emergency Medical Services, Cabarrus County Fire Marshal’s Office, and Cabarrus County Sheriff’s Office.
