Solid Waste Collection Delays Due to Winter Weather

February 2, 2010 – Allied Waste Services today was unable to collect garbage and recyclables from residential customers living in the unincorporated areas of Cabarrus County, due to weather–related road conditions.

Allied Waste Services will attempt to collect as much as possible this week, however if precipitation and icy road conditions persist throughout the week collections may not be caught up this week. Customers are asked to please leave all materials out for collection, and are reminded when doing so to be sure to cover paper recyclables to protect them from the weather. If materials are not collected by Saturday, February 6, Allied Waste Services will resume their regular collection schedule beginning Monday, February 8.
