Man Injured in House Fire

April 22, 2010 – A man was critically injured in a house fire at 5390 Cold Springs Road South in Concord. A neighbor called 911 at 1:05 pm today to report a fire at a nearby house. When firefighters arrived on the scene, the man was found inside the home. He was transported to Carolinas Medical Center – NorthEast. No other individuals were inside the home.

Allen Volunteer Fire Department arrived on the scene at 1:15 pm. The fire was under control at 1:31 pm and is now fully extinguished. Other responders to the scene include: Georgeville Volunteer Fire Department, Mount Pleasant Volunteer Fire Department, Flowes Store Volunteer Fire Department, Cabarrus Rescue Squad, Cabarrus County Emergency Medical Services, and Cabarrus County Fire Marshal’s Office.

The Cabarrus County Fire Marshal will begin an investigation of the cause of the fire.
