Early Voting for Primary Election Begins April 15

April 13, 2010 – Registered voters can get a jump on the polls by participating in early voting April 15 through May 1. Democrats and Republicans will be able to cast votes for their party’s candidates in the primary election. Independent voters may choose to participate in either the Democrat or Republican primary election.

Early voting begins Thursday, April 15. Registered voters can cast ballots at the Cabarrus County Board of Elections officer Mondays through Fridays from 8:30 am until 5 pm through Friday, April 30. The last day to participate in early voting is Saturday, May 1 from 8:30 am until 1 pm at the Board of Elections office. The office is located at 53 Corban Avenue in downtown Concord.

The primary election for Democratic and Republican candidates will be held Tuesday, May 4.

Voters can log on to www.cabarruscounty.us/elections to check the status of their voter registration and to receive a sample ballot for their voting district.
