Flooding of Rocky River Prompts Pharr Mill Road Park Closing

November 11, 2009 – Pharr Mill Road Park will be closed the remainder of Wednesday due to flooding. The Rocky River, which runs through the park, has risen from its banks and is flooding some areas of the park. Pharr Mill Road Park is located on Pharr Mill Road just outside of Harrisburg.

In addition, the trails and some playgrounds at Frank Liske Park are closed Wednesday due to flooding. Frank Liske Park is located on Stough Road outside of Concord.

Additional flooding could occur throughout the county as rain continues. Motorists are reminded not to attempt to cross over standing water or flooded bridges.
